VALVE Copying Our Features? Overview of the Latest Steam Inventory Helper Updates
Our extension has recently been updated to version 2.2.2. In this article, we’ll walk you through the main new features and changes. Some of these were highly requested by users—we listened and delivered. Others required adjustments due to VALVE’s updates, ensuring smooth and stable operation.
Steam Update: What Happened?
Every Tuesday night into Wednesday, Steam undergoes routine maintenance, typically addressing bugs and stabilizing the client. Unexpectedly, the December 3rd update introduced changes closely tied to our extension’s features.
On any skin’s page in the Steam launcher, users can now see details about applied stickers, charms, and patches on agents. This functionality has been part of our extension for years, and it seems VALVE has finally decided to borrow the idea. We don’t mind, but it did cause issues where our data overlapped with the “Inspect in Game” button, shifting it to the right.
Aside from basic display functionality, VALVE didn’t add anything new. However, we had to quickly resolve these interface conflicts. Now, everything is working smoothly, and you can continue using SIH to access detailed information on item pages, your inventory, trade history, and other sections.
Remember, beyond showing applied items, SIH provides details like float values, pattern indices, sticker wear levels, and more. While we’re flattered that VALVE acknowledges our work, we remain committed to enhancing our extension with new features and tools.
Charm Pattern Display
We actively process feedback from our users. Since charms were introduced, one of the top requests was to add information about their patterns.
Why is this important?
Some charms have unique designs directly linked to their pattern values. Users have grown accustomed to SIH’s convenient functionality for skins and dislike endlessly launching the game to check item details.
We immediately began work on this feature. Now, you can easily check a charm’s pattern on its page, in your inventory, or even when applied to a weapon. Hunting for rare charms just got simpler—head to the marketplace and grab the best deals faster with Steam Inventory Helper.
Detailed Item Information
Providing the most comprehensive details about each skin, sticker, charm, and more is one of SIH’s standout features. This function is invaluable for both investors and regular users. However, such detailed data often takes up too much space.
Now, you can toggle the text descriptions as needed, allowing you to hide or expand information with a click.
Wallet Balance History Graph
In today’s world, tracking your finances is essential. With our new feature, you can view the history of your wallet balance. These graphs help you analyze the growth or decline of your inventory’s value over time and identify the reasons behind the changes.
Perhaps you made a profitable investment, experienced losses during VALVE’s large events, or encountered other circumstances.
To access your graph, open the extension, locate your balance under your nickname in the top-right corner of your browser, and dive into your account’s balance history.
Steam Trading Cards
Steam trading cards are periodically awarded during gameplay, completing tasks, or randomly. These cards are full-fledged items that can be traded or sold on the marketplace. By using them, you can craft badges and earn rewards like profile emojis or backgrounds.
Unused trading cards often pile up in inventories, waiting to be used or sold. With SIH, you can quickly check how many unused cards you have, decide whether to sell them, or put them to good use.
Steam Inventory Helper continues to evolve, offering users tools that make navigating and optimizing their Steam experience seamless. If you haven’t explored these new features yet, now’s the perfect time!
