Best Workshop Skins in CS2: Will These Items Be Added to the Game Soon?

It’s been quite a while since the last skin release, which means a new case or perhaps an Arsenal collection update might be just around the corner. We decided to take a look at the Steam Workshop and explore the most interesting and popular submissions. While we can never be certain about VALVE’s plans, that’s no reason to ignore the work of skin creators. If you like any skins from this collection, don’t forget to visit the item’s page and support the designers for their work.

USP-S AAA Precision

USP-S AAA Precision

It’s always interesting to see a skin that combines beautiful execution with a creative idea. It’s even better when it fits perfectly with the weapon’s design and looks completely organic. In this case, all these elements come together brilliantly, and it’s somewhat surprising that no one thought of this concept earlier. The USP-S’s silencer genuinely resembles the shape of a standard AA battery, which the author has implemented effortlessly. The color scheme also fits perfectly with the overall concept and beautifully emphasizes the skin’s main feature.

Glock-18 | Raven

Glock-18 | Raven

Moving on to the next default pistol, but this time for the terrorist side. In our opinion, the game really lacks interesting dark-themed skins for the Glock-18. In this artwork, the author presents their vision of “Death,” and it’s worth noting that it significantly differs from the traditional hooded figure with a scythe. The skull and skeleton of a raven stand out on the frame, with its bone fingers reaching towards the muzzle as if guiding bullets to their target. As the author writes, “This pistol is a cold reminder of a sealed pact, a Memento mori for those who dare to possess it.” Memento mori – remember your mortality, for death’s embrace is eternal.

Sawed-Off | BLOCK B

Sawed-Off | BLOCK B

We’re confident this skin would become a real hit among players from Eastern Europe, and even the unpopular shotgun wouldn’t change that fact. The weapon’s design is styled after a panel building, which has become a symbol of post-Soviet heritage, and its image, combined with depressive music, gave birth to the Doomer Music movement. Doomer is an internet meme character reflecting depression, nihilism, and a certain crisis among young people. You can find the image of that guy with an empty stare and black beanie in the workshop, so the skin’s connection to this movement isn’t our imagination. The main design element on the body is the windows, which reflect light very realistically under bright lighting. The shotgun also features various drawings and inscriptions in the style of street graffiti from neighborhood romantics and artists.

AWP | HALLUCINATION

AWP | HALLUCINATION

An interesting AWP skin with dynamic float values that should be particularly attractive to hunters of “battle-scarred” or “factory new” versions. The main body is rather carelessly painted in white, imitating manual work with a regular paint brush. This makes the rifle appear more voluminous, but the main focus is still on the purple image of a spirit with a horse’s head or similar animal. This part of the skin is subject to the most wear, and judging by the screenshots on the item’s page, it can almost completely disappear from the weapon. This reminds us of the AWP | Asiimov in Black Scope version, which many collectors and enthusiasts hunt for.

AK-47 Sail

AK-47 Sail

The rifle’s design is dedicated to maritime themes, and according to the skin’s workshop description, it specifically references Columbus’s voyage to the American continent. The wooden handguard features waves, a sailing caravel, and various carved inscriptions with decorative thematic elements. The most eye-catching detail is a small compass on the rear part of the body, which is visible during gameplay. The designer added the phrase “Gone to the new world. No ‘Pinta’, no ‘Niña’, no ‘Santa María'” to their work’s description, referencing a well-known song about the three caravels that sailed with Columbus. The skin comes in white, orange, and beige versions, but the white one impressed us the most due to its winning combination of black and white colors.

Galil AR | Colorista

Galil AR | Colorista

After the incredible success of the “Information Flow” collection, many designers tried to create their version of pearlescent skins. This author managed to catch our attention with their interpretation, which looks just as good as existing variants. While the pattern might seem too similar, if this style is so beloved in the community, why not add another version of it?

Sticker | Loading... (Foil)

Sticker | Loading... (Foil)

Let’s briefly switch to stickers, as this discovered sticker won’t leave most veterans indifferent. The item perfectly replicates the map loading window from early versions of the game and would provide a wonderful sense of nostalgia for many players. We’re not sure if this sticker would pass copyright checks, but there’s no doubt it would be in incredibly high demand. On the store page, the author showed different versions, and it would be cool if the holographic sticker could make the loading bar appear to fill up.

TEC-9 | ÆMBLEMA

TEC-9 | ÆMBLEMA

A unique approach that is not only well-executed but has no analogues in the game. The pistol’s body is designed in an antique style and completely covered with fine mosaic, making it look more like an interior decoration piece rather than a weapon. The work turned out realistic and definitely deserves a place in some themed collection, perhaps for the Tuscan map, which was added to CS:GO but hasn’t yet been transferred to CS2.

Jija M4A4 | Blue

Jija M4A4 | Blue

Continuing with the historical theme, we present this M4A4, executed in a rather minimalist style with an image applied over the default black body. The drawing resembles cave paintings of ancient civilizations, featuring rough blue paint strokes and a symbol resembling a human eye. It’s been a while since skins with minimal changes from classic versions were added to the game, so this specimen could be a good candidate.

AK-47 | BIG BROTHER

AK-47 | BIG BROTHER

Reading this skin’s description, there’s no doubt that the author put a lot of soul into it and spent more than a day on its creation. The “BIG BROTHER” skin is dedicated to the Cache map and embodies a harsh industrial world steeped in the spirit of control and oppression. The dark red and black tones convey tension and hopelessness, inspired by George Orwell’s iconic dystopian novel “1984”.

Key design elements from the author:

  • Peeling paint – worn textures symbolize time, decay, and the weight of the past.
  • Big Brother’s face – inspired by the original book cover, reflecting omnipresent surveillance.
  • Hands on the weapon body – pointing the way, giving orders, loading the magazine, and whispering: “Don’t resist.”
  • Gears around the hands – symbol of the dictatorial system, a single mechanism where humans are mere cogs in the machine.
  • Improvised materials – barrel made from rebar, stock from metal mesh, creating the effect of a weapon assembled from debris in harsh conditions.
  • The all-seeing eye – constantly watching the owner, reminding: “Big Brother is watching you.”
