Anubis 2026 Collection? Best Workshop Skins in Arabesque Design and Arabian Mythology

On January 19, the Anubis map returns to the official map pool, and with it comes the question: could this be a reason to update the skin collection in one of the future Armory Pass updates? VALVE never reveals plans in advance, but the current skin contest already has a theme that unexpectedly resembles this map’s atmosphere – Arabesque Art & Arabian Mythology.
Arabesques, with their complex geometry, ornaments, and sacred symmetry, have decorated the walls of palaces, mosques, and temples for centuries. Eastern mythology filled these spaces with stories of gods, spirits, cursed artifacts, and ancient powers. And while Anubis is directly inspired by Egypt, these aesthetics converge in one thing: a sense of antiquity, mystery, and monumentality. This collection features 10 workshop skins that look as if they were created specifically for the sands, water, and golden shadows of Anubis.
AK-47 | Djinn
Inspired by Arabian mythology, this AK-47 carries the mystical essence of the Djinn, a legendary genie trapped in a golden lamp. The weapon combines deep turquoise and aged gold, symbolizing wealth, power, and the hidden spiritual world of ancient deserts. Intricately crafted arabesques run along the entire body of the weapon, like ancient inscriptions telling stories of wishes, pacts, and consequences. The sculptural gold finish references the sacred lamp, while organic patterns resemble magical smoke taking physical form, as if the djinn itself appears from nowhere.
M4A4 | Falak
Falak is a cosmic serpent from Arabian tales of “One Thousand and One Nights,” whose coils encircle the abyss beneath the pyramids of Anubis. This M4A4 embodies chaos: a red dragon with white fangs winds along the body, coiling around the barrel like the Nile in flood. The scales shimmer from scarlet flame to beige shadows, and together with the sun symbol on the stock, it recalls the divine will that restrains the beast. During firing, the serpent “comes alive” in the recoil animation, while arabesque patterns camouflage as sand dunes. For those who sow destruction, obeying only themselves.
MAG-7 | Lamp of Wishes
In the depths of the Nile, beneath the sanctuary of Anubis, slumbers Aladdin’s lamp – a vessel with a djinn. This MAG-7 is its physical embodiment: a silvery body with the engraving “Wake the Djinn, Rub Me,” surrounded by arabesques and rubies. Every line on the body looks like a trace from an antique tool, not from a machine. On Anubis, this lamp will be ideal at close range, of which there’s more than enough on the map. A symbol of luck in the desert: rub it – and enemies will immediately be sent to spectators.
Glock-18 | Dark Marble
This Glock looks as if carved from a solid piece of black stone. Deep dark shades create a sense of weight and monumentality, while thin veins resemble natural cracks in marble that people have walked on for centuries. There are no bright accents here – only form, texture, and a feeling of cold austerity. In the map’s shadows, the marble merges with darkness, while in sunlight it reveals golden glints. It looks as if it belongs not to a Counter-Strike agent, but to a silent guardian of an ancient sanctuary. Minimalism makes this skin particularly expressive.
PP-Bizon | Kufic Gaze
This Bizon resembles an item from a locked vault. Its surface is covered with angular symbols inspired by Kufic script – an ancient form of calligraphy where every line has weight and meaning. The pattern isn’t just decorative: it seems to hold something inside. The longer you look at it, the stronger the feeling that before you is not a weapon, but a sealed piece of antiquity. Legends say that the most powerful spells aren’t drawn in circles – they’re carved in angles.
FAMAS | Strawbound
This FAMAS looks not assembled, but woven. Its design features motifs of Damascene straw mosaic – a craft where each element is laid by hand, with precision and patience. Geometric and floral patterns settle on the body softly, not breaking the form but emphasizing it. The patterns blend with the sands of Anubis, making it an ideal candidate for inclusion in a future collection. Visually, the weapon seems almost warm, as if the metal has absorbed the texture of wood and straw. This isn’t just a skin, but a piece of decorative art adapted for the battlefield.
AK-47 | Meridian
The meridians of Anubis’s Arabian desert are the paths of Bedouins, scorched by sun and memory. This AK-47 tells sagas: caravan camels float along the barrel, sun-stars shine on the body, and the serpent Apotipos carefully coils around the stock. The lines resemble routes that nomads used to cross deserts for centuries, navigating by stars and memory. There are no sharp forms here – everything is built on smooth transitions, like tracks in sand. The rifle looks alive, as if it remembers hundreds of roads and countless nights under the open sky.
Glock-18 | Frozen Marble
Who said the Nile doesn’t freeze? On this Glock-18, it’s frozen in azure marble and looks like an echo of the FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys from the original Anubis collection. Cold blue and gray shades create the effect of marble covered with a thin layer of ice. The surface seems smooth, like stone polished by water, while color transitions resemble frozen streams. In this design, you can feel silence and calm – the kind that comes before dawn in the desert. A logical successor to Waters of Nephthys!
MAC-10 | Undercovered
A mummy from the tombs of Anubis has come alive in the MAC-10: bandages with yellow eyes wrap around the body, peering through slits. This submachine gun looks as if extracted from a burial chamber. Its surface resembles layers of ancient fabrics, bandages, and sand, as if the weapon lay underground for centuries. There’s no shine here – only muted shades creating a sense of mystery and slight unease. This skin doesn’t look like decoration, but like an archaeologist’s find that’s better left untouched.
MAC-10 | Sacred Lotus
The sacred lotus is a flower of the Nile, blooming amid dust under the gaze of Anubis. In Eastern culture, this flower appears where it’s not expected, and here it becomes a quiet accent against the backdrop of chaos. The translucent magazine, resembling amethyst, looks like a vessel with energy contained within. This MAC-10 seems carved from a marble slab that lay under the sand for hundreds of years. The white surface is cold and calm, like stone in the shadow of a tomb, while thin golden lines settle on it like ancient writings carved by a master’s hand. The ornament doesn’t just decorate the body – it sets a rhythm, creating a sense of slow, almost ritual movement.
