Investing in The Armory Pass: Which CS2 Collections Are About to Be Removed and What Should You Buy?

Last week, in the second half of April 2026, a “Last Chance to Purchase” notice appeared on several collections in The Armory Pass. This means they will soon be removed from the pass and replaced with something new. Everyone expected it to happen on April 28th alongside the Cache release, but it looks like we’ll have to wait another week. Most likely, the old collections will be replaced by new ones from last year’s VALVE workshop competition, which concluded in March 2026.
While we wait for the winners to be announced, we still have a chance to spend our stars on collections that are guaranteed to become limited in the next major update.
If you want to invest more selectively, this article compiles the most sought-after items that should see stronger demand in the future.
Train 2025
The collection has been in the game for just over a year and even outlived the Train map itself, which was removed in January 2026. However, its time in The Armory Pass is now ending precisely because Train is no longer in the competitive map pool. Overpass 2024, for instance, has been in the game far longer and hasn’t been removed — making it officially the longest-running weapon collection in the pass.
It’s no secret that VALVE tends to cut unpopular (i.e., less profitable) products, which suggests Train 2025 wasn’t opened all that often. That’s another argument in favor of investing in these items, even if none of them ever became a standout fan favorite.
Galil AR | Green Apple
- Factory New – $0.55
- Minimal Wear – $0.14
- Field-Tested – $0.10
Pros:
– Low price (buy in bulk without spending much)
– Nice look (great for green-themed inventories)
– High sticker craft potential (clean body with no patterns or other visual elements)
Cons:
– Industrial Grade (more copies dropped than other rarities, so price growth will take a while)
As you can see, the pros outweigh the cons — and given the most important one (low price), you’re barely risking anything. Sitting on a few copies for a couple of years and watching them appreciate seems like a solid play.
Glock-18 | Green Line
- Factory New – $11.99
- Minimal Wear – $3.35
- Field-Tested – $0.81
- Well-Worn – $0.54
- Battle-Scarred – $0.49
Pros:
– Low price for the most popular wear tier, Field-Tested
– Unique design (nothing else like it in the game)
– Could get a price boost if Train returns to the competitive pool (a chance to profit on the news cycle)
Cons:
– Mil-Spec Grade (second most common rarity, so there are plenty of copies around)
The last bullet point in the pros section is especially worth noting. VALVE is unlikely to shelve the Train map for good — they put too much work into it. The market typically reacts to news like this with a price spike, though we wouldn’t recommend selling everything at once.
Tec-9 | Whiteout
- Factory New – $520.74
- Minimal Wear – $54.78
- Field-Tested – $8.66
- Well-Worn – $5.26
- Battle-Scarred – $4.72
Pros:
– The Whiteout collection is extremely popular and has always seen massive growth (99.9% chance this item will go up in value)
– Low price for the Field-Tested quality
Cons:
– Factory New and Minimal Wear are the most desired (as they’re the “cleanest” looking)
– High price for the in-demand wear tiers – Only relevant on the T-side
We strongly recommend not skipping this item, despite having more cons than pros. Opening the Train 2025 collection while it’s still available is worthwhile largely because of this skin. Restricted quality is very realistically obtainable, and pulling this skin in a high condition would be a great result.
If you can pick up a couple of MW-or-better copies, that’s an excellent investment. You can also use the smart SIH filters on the Steam marketplace to look for FT copies with a float close to 0.15 — those can potentially be sold for at least 50% above market price.
MP9 | Latte Rush
- Factory New – $265.00
- Minimal Wear – $115.00
- Field-Tested – $39.00
- Well-Worn – $30.62
- Battle-Scarred – $26.62
Pros:
– Beautiful look (great for pink and purple inventory themes)
– Can be used to craft the collection’s only Covert item
– Restricted quality (dropped significantly less often than other rarities)
Cons:
– Fairly high price
– The Covert item in the collection isn’t particularly exciting (meaning the craft won’t be in high demand at first)
Investing in skins used to craft expensive items is always worthwhile. Sure, the AWP | LongDog isn’t the most coveted skin out there, but consider the other side of the coin: most players burn their stars chasing the biggest drops, and no one was really hunting for the Covert in Train 2025. Far fewer were opened, and rarity drives price — the AWP | LongDog could easily surprise people.
AWP | LongDog
- Factory New – $1,441.43
- Minimal Wear – $619.42
- Field-Tested – $322.14
- Well-Worn – $136.70
- Battle-Scarred – $122.96
Pros:
– The rarest item in the collection
– Wasn’t popular, meaning there aren’t many on the market
Cons:
– Expensive, and it’s unclear how long price growth might take
– Could be difficult to sell due to low demand
Sooner or later, this rifle will definitely go up in price. It already costs over $1,000 — something no Covert item from the Armory Pass had achieved before a collection rotation.
The Sport & Field Collection
This collection has been in the game since The Armory Pass launched in 2024 and quickly became the most popular one among players. It has plenty of great skins, but that also means players opened it far more than anything else, and the marketplace is now oversaturated with these items. It’s good that VALVE decided to remove it — that will stop the price decline and eventually drive growth. Items will gradually disappear through crafts and banned accounts, which definitely farmed a lot of skins from this collection.
USP-S | Alpine Camo
- Factory New – $5.68
- Minimal Wear – $1.65
- Field-Tested – $0.88
- Well-Worn – $0.93
- Battle-Scarred – $0.73
Pros:
– Great design (rich colors + khaki, which is always in demand)
– Low price
– Popular weapon — skins for it are always a priority
Cons:
– Mil-Spec Grade (a lot of copies dropped)
A solid investment that won’t break the bank — you can even pick up Factory New quality. Plus, you don’t have to sit on it; you can actually use it in-game.
UMP-45 | Crimson Foil
- Factory New – $22.00
- Minimal Wear – $9.10
- Field-Tested – $6.78
- Well-Worn – $6.51
- Battle-Scarred – $6.79
Pros:
– Unique metallic paint design
– Can be used to craft highly popular Pink (Classified) items
– Could follow the MP7’s path – that weapon got a buff and players started using it more, which drove up skin prices.
Cons:
– Not the most popular weapon
– Not the friendliest price at Factory New
First and foremost, we’d recommend picking this up as crafting material. Having a Restricted-quality item available for crafts is uncommon — take advantage of it.
MP9 | Arctic Tri-Tone
- Factory New – $23.13
- Minimal Wear – $9.01
- Field-Tested – $6.84
- Well-Worn – $6.67
- Battle-Scarred – $6.94
Pros:
– Features a viral Duolingo sticker craft that’s become hugely popular
– Can be used to craft highly popular Pink (Classified) items
Cons:
– Not the friendliest price at Factory New
Plenty of copies were probably dropped, but they’ll disappear quickly through crafts. The Duolingo craft is especially worth highlighting — it simply cannot be replicated with any other skin in the game.
Galil AR | Rainbow Spoon
- Factory New – $126.92
- Minimal Wear – $67.91
- Field-Tested – $58.65
- Well-Worn – $60.81
- Battle-Scarred – $62.76
Pros:
– Stunning and nearly one-of-a-kind look
– Can be used to craft M4A1-S / Gradient
Cons:
– Fairly high price
– Will take a while to appreciate in value
It’s a rare case where a skin meant to be crafting material is beautiful enough on its own that you’d hate to use it in a craft. But crafts will still happen — you’ll just have to wait long enough for the item to become scarce and start climbing in price.
Glock-18 | AXIA
- Factory New – $277.67
- Minimal Wear – $88.55
- Field-Tested – $58.22
- Well-Worn – $57.81
- Battle-Scarred – $59.70
Pros:
– One of the best Glock-18 skins (a widely used weapon)
– Can be used to craft M4A1-S / Gradient
Cons:
– Fairly high price
– People will feel bad using it in a craft (meaning crafts will happen slowly, so fewer copies will leave circulation)
This is the last skin from the collection, and we wouldn’t recommend investing in the M4A1-S / Gradient itself (there are a lot of them, and more are coming). These two Pink skins can absolutely hold their own value independently and require far less capital.
Elemental Craft Stickers Offer
This sticker collection is straightforward — they were designed from the ground up for sticker crafting. There are countless examples online of creative ways to apply them to weapons. Feel free to buy any of them (or spend your stars on them while you still can) — you won’t go wrong. That said, here are some of the most versatile options with the widest range of crafts:
- Ruby Wave (Lenticular) – $15.31
- Ruby Stream (Lenticular) – $9.91
- Winding Scorch – $0.26
- Scorch Loop – $0.17
- Scorch Loop (Reverse) – $0.20
- Boom Trail – $0.10
Sugarface 2 Stickers
The most unpredictable collection of the bunch, as it’s essentially a duplicate of the existing Sugarface Capsule Stickers. It was never quite clear why VALVE added it, and they may have realized that themselves. Very few people opened it — which means it’ll likely be scarce in the future — but who will actually want it is anyone’s guess. Picking up a few copies is fine, but don’t count on them as a serious investment.
