Cache Collection Skins: Top 3 Legends + Workshop Bangers That Could Make It Into Cache Collection 2026

In our last article, we already got you hyped with the news that Cache is about to return to CS2. While Valve polishes the map, it’s the perfect time to talk about what really matters — the skins. Because what is Cache without the right vibe in your inventory? In this piece we’ll cover:

  • The top 3 most atmospheric veterans from the original 2014 collection (the ones that still make old-timers nostalgic).
  • Workshop submissions that genuinely look like ready-made candidates for Cache Collection 2026.

Top 3 Skins from the Classic Cache Collection

These items dropped in 2014 alongside the map itself, in the update ahead of ESL One Cologne 2014. By now they’re true dinosaurs, but they show no signs of dying out or going anywhere. Prices have climbed significantly over the years, and souvenir versions with gold stickers go for about one and a half times more.

Galil AR | Cerberus

  • Factory New – $595.66
  • Minimal Wear – $174.00
  • Field-Tested – $68.44
  • Well-Worn – $51.83
  • Battle-Scarred – $37.40

Nobody knows which Valve employee decided that a mythical three-headed dog would fit perfectly into the Chernobyl theme — possibly a nod to the mutations following the Chernobyl disaster. Regardless, it’s still considered one of the most interesting and expensive skins for the Galil AR. The rifle’s body is splattered with uneven drips of neon-yellow paint, as if it had just been pulled out of a radioactive waste pool from Unit 4. On the receiver, in full glory — Cerberus himself: three snarling muzzles with burning eyes that seem to watch you as you push B-site.

MAC-10 | Nuclear Garden

  • Factory New – $55.11
  • Minimal Wear – $33.37
  • Field-Tested – $21.89
  • Well-Worn – $16.95
  • Battle-Scarred – $16.94

The king of all green inventories, one that still hasn’t found a worthy successor. The receiver is completely flooded with neon green in every shade — from toxic lime to deep swamp. The background is scattered with chaotic bones, skulls, and classic radiation hazard symbols stamped right on the foreheads of each “resident” of this nuclear garden. The rest of the gun is left clean, as if the creator just dunked the MAC-10 up to the grip in a barrel of waste and said “done.”

Glock-18 | Reactor

  • Factory New – $257.49
  • Minimal Wear – $56.93
  • Field-Tested – $23.94
  • Well-Worn – $19.58
  • Battle-Scarred – $22.62

A legend that still sparks warm nostalgia in everyone who lived through Cache’s golden era. The slide is fully covered with a dense pattern of radiation hazard symbols in yellow-orange-brown tones. No extra imagery, no cartoon skulls — just pure, raw, industrial vibes. This is the skin you saw in the hands of every veteran back when Cache was the most popular map in matchmaking. And it still looks like it just passed through the hottest corner of the Zone.

Steam Workshop Roundup: Who Could Make It Into Cache Collection 2026?

We’ve been waiting for Cache for a long time and have already been putting together the ideal skin lineup for Cache 2026. Now is the perfect time to update it. Some Armory Pass collections have started showing a “last chance to buy” warning, which means a skin update is coming! We’ll most likely see the long-awaited winners of Valve’s competition. That said, we still think it would make perfect sense to see a new Cache skin collection alongside the map’s release — just like what happened with Train 2025 and Overpass 2024.

P90 | RW-07

  • by What if..?

This isn’t just a skin — it’s a full stalker’s journal. According to the author’s lore, the weapon once belonged to an operator of a reconnaissance unit that worked at a facility erased from all maps after “the incident.” The body features barrels of spilled radioactive waste, and the built-in dosimeter is actually “alive” (its readings change with movement, as if the weapon is still searching for a radiation source). The metal panels are engraved with text that reads like the personal diary of that very operator. An absolute must-have for Cache lore enthusiasts.

Glock-18 | Lost Skyline

  • by HARNING

We all know our shared weakness for dynamic patterns, and the author has delivered a truly stunning take here. Some might find the execution a little mainstream, but we’d call it timeless. The slide is covered with silhouettes of Pripyat and the Chernobyl power plant against a sunset sky, as the city slowly sinks into a radioactive haze. Collectors will hunt for every unique pattern — the rarest radiation symbol placements are bound to fly off the shelves. A very promising skin for the future collection.

M4A4 | Cache Core

  • by Murat

This weapon looks like it was ripped straight out of the map’s own textures. Cracked brick walls, ventilation hatches, hazard warning signs — everything we’ve seen a thousand times running around Cache. On the magazine — the iconic s1mple graffiti (a falling angel with an AWP). Valve already removed that graffiti from the map… so at least bring it back on a weapon! Logically it would make more sense on an AWP, but we’re not picky — slap it on the M4A4, just bring it back. Since the rights to the graffiti now belong to the developers, they could absolutely greenlight this skin.

USP-S | Cache Error!

  • by cryo

The author clearly grinded Cache for years. The main feature is the inscription “SOUTHWEST ADMINISTRATION” from A-site, cleverly placed as a connector between the suppressor and the slide. If you’ve ever played A and spotted that sign — you’ll recognize it instantly and crack a smile. A simple but genius move that immediately makes the skin feel like home for any Cache veteran.

P90 | Stained Glass

  • by H1oma

A stained glass window from Cache, rendered in real 3D. A Soviet worker in a hard hat and a red star — all in classic mosaic style that actually glints and shimmers in the light. The author preserved all of Cache’s Soviet character but made it look premium and expensive. When the light hits this P90 at just the right angle, it feels like you’re holding a piece of real Stalinist stained glass from some abandoned community center in Pripyat. One of the most beautiful and atmospheric skins in the lineup.

AWP | Zona

  • by FMPONE

From the man who once created Cache itself and only a year ago parted with it, handing Valve full control over his brainchild. Dark, grimy, hand-drawn Zone vibes turned all the way up. Yellow paint, Cyrillic text, graffiti, radiation symbols, barbed wire — all the old good stuff. You can feel the author saying goodbye to the map and leaving his signature on it in the form of this AWP.

M4A1-S | Peaceful Atom

  • by Kong

Let’s step away from the usual rusty-green old-school aesthetic and look at something more modern and vibrant. Saturated colors, but still clearly tied to Cache — radiation, gas masks, nuclear themes. It stands out from the overall dark palette, yet fits perfectly into the collection. A great way to freshen up Cache Collection 2026 without losing the map’s atmosphere. For when you want something punchier and more modern, but it should still smell like Chernobyl.
